On Monday, i shared my hive goals for the month, and also shared my progress so far. But today we will be doing something a little different.
STAKING HIVE
Staking at least two hive each day has always been my goal, like i mentioned in my previous post, staking hive is not just about self growth. Staking hive or powring up your hive adds value to the blockchain.
So here's my progress in the past week.
Looking at the above power up history, I'd say I'm happy with the little progress I've made so far, I've been trying to be consistent regardless of how challenging it is. When i mean challenges, i meant, the act of always trying to remember to power up every single day. This has to be the major challenge for me .
Earlier this month when i wanted to start my Hive staking journey, i had no hive nor HBD, i thought i had some hive in my Binance wallet, i totally forgot i had swapped to another coin few days before. I really wanted to start my hive power up journey. Then it occurred to me i had over 100 hive in my savings on hive keychain, i decided to withdraw 100 hive so that i could have more than enough to power up. What seems like a good idea had a dark side, the dark side in this situation was that, even if though i had withdrawn 100 hive from my savings, I'd have to wait for 3 days before the hive could officially be credited into my main wallet.
At this point i was asking myself "Should i give up and wait till the next month?" Then an idea got to my head, i decided to ask a friend for assistance. I reached out to my friend and mentor @fokusnow, i requested for him to lend 13 Hive to me, which he did without hesitation. I was so grateful for his kind gesture towards me, he came to my rescue in my time of need.
Some may ask "How can i power up or stake hive if i don't have any hive in my wallet?" It very simple, go to your hive keychain click on the swap icon, then click any token of your choice and swap it to hive. Personally, i use HBD to swap to Hive. I use this process, because HBD is a stable coin and it's very straightforward.
Earlier today @fokusnow made an announcement about a staking contest. I find so exciting participate in this contest, couple with the fact that, I'm on a goal to staking my hive. This is a very good opportunity for me reach my goal and still participate in the staking contest.
