Esta semana estoy tratando de mejorar la apariencia de un envase, para darle una segunda oportunidad de y que no se vaya a la basura. Es muy útil para mí, pero en cuanto apariencia no me gusta, la tapa está desgastada y decolorada por el sol y la lluvia, además de manchada de negro e incluso un poco rota por una sección del borde.
This week, I’m working on improving the appearance of a container to give it a second chance and keep it from ending up in the trash. It’s very useful to me, but I don’t like its appearance—the lid is worn out and discolored by the sun and rain, as well as stained black and even slightly broken on one section of the edge.
Por eso hoy les comparto como le di un toque de brillo a este recipiente de una forma sencilla y económica con un papel contact dorado con brillantina que compré el año pasado para poder hacer varias de mis manualidades o cubrir lo que sea que se me ocurriera.
That’s why today I’m sharing how I added a touch of shine to this container in a simple and affordable way using glittery gold contact paper that I bought last year for various crafts or to cover whatever came to mind.
Para forrar la tapa solo necesité lo siguiente:

- Bolígrafo. 🖊️

- Pegamento transparente (silicón) ⬜
- Contact paper.
- Pen. 🖊️

Comencé colocando la tapa encima del papel contact y con el bolígrafo marqué la circunferencia, lo recorté y le quité el papel que protege la pegatina. Fui forrándola con cuidado hasta llegar al borde.
I started by placing the lid on top of the contact paper and marking the circumference with a pen. I cut it out and removed the protective backing from the adhesive. I carefully covered it until reaching the edge.
Para el borde, marqué en el papel todo el diámetro de la tapa dejando medio centímetro extra para cubrir los bordes inferiores. Lo recorté, retiré el papel y fui pegándolo con mucho cuidado alrededor.
For the edge, I marked the full diameter of the lid on the contact paper, leaving an extra half centimeter to cover the lower edges. I cut it out, removed the backing, and carefully stuck it around the lid.
Una vez pegado el borde, realicé cortes cada medio centímetro y los fui pegando con silicón caliente uno por uno para asegurar que no se despegara, tal como se observa en la foto.
Once the edge was attached, I made cuts every half centimeter and stuck them one by one with hot silicone glue to ensure it wouldn’t come loose, as shown in the photo.
Esta es una manualidad muy sencilla que todos podemos hacer.
This is a very simple craft that anyone can do.
