FC Barcelona Fourth El Clásico Win Of The Season

This season in La Liga has been one of the best seasons we have seen from FC Barcelona in La Liga over the past years. The El Clasico match, as always, gave football fans the best entertainment of the weekend, which I am sure neutral fans will enjoy. The match, the drama, and the incredible moments were seen in the match yesterday. Yesterday's match was important for both sides as it was the league deciding, which just shows the utmost importance and why both teams were pushing to win the match.
My prediction for the match was already for FC Barcelona to win because, looking at the head-to-head stats against both teams, FC Barcelona has been dominant this season over Real Madrid, so it was a sure win for Barcelona, even with the defeat they suffered against Inter Milan last Tuesday in the Champions League. The match started, and it didn't take much time before Mbappe found the net from a penalty kick as Szczesny made a hideous slide tackle against Mbappe inside the box. Nine minutes later, Mbappe scored again and made it two goals for Real Madrid in fourteen minutes.
Barcelona were down by two goals but were not beaten as their comeback began in the nineteenth minute from a corner kick, which was headed into the goal post by Eric Garcia. It's funny looking at it now that Eric Garcia has played an important role for Barcelona this season, even though he almost left on a permanent deal to Como in the January transfer window, thanks to Hansi Flick, who blocked the transfer as he countered on Eric Garcia this season, it turned out to pay for the team.
FC Barcelona found the net again in the 32nd minute of the first half as Lamine Yamal scored an incredible goal. The youngster keeps on doing damage to Real Madrid this season, as he has been involved in most of the sixteen goals scored by FC Barcelona against Real Madrid this season. Lamine Yamal is a strong contender for the Ballon d'Or this year, as he should not be ruled out of that award; he equally deserves to be on the top list this year.
It didn't take two minutes after Lamine Yamal's goal for Barcelona to score there, and this time, the man of the season, Raphinha, scored the third goal that put Barcelona ahead of Real Madrid in the 34th minute of the match. Barcelona extended their lead in the 45th minute from a horrible defence by Real Madrid as Raphinha won the ball and squared a pass to Ferran Torres, and then Torres played a pass back to Raphinha, who made sure to put the ball in the back of the net.
The first half concluded with the scoreline of 4-2, which was crazy, honestly, because I was not expecting that many goals in the first half of the match. In the second half, I was expecting it to rain goals as well, but only one goal was allowed, which was from Mbappe as he got his first hat-trick in an El Clásico. There were other goals scored, but VAR and Barcelona's offside trap prevented it from standing, and there were some controversial moments which I will discuss in another post, but in the end, Barcelona got the important three points, which makes them seven points clear of Real Madrid on the league table.
Barcelona just need a point to seal their league title, which will happen this Thursday when they face Espanyol. What an incredible season for Barcelona, and I look forward to their match this Thursday. So, guys, that will be all for now. Thanks for stopping by and have a good day.
