Sketch from 2015. I don't even remember where I was. Maybe I was doodling at work or waiting for my girlfriend to get ready, passing time in a Doctor's office. Either way, I love Martial Arts and The Afro Brazilian Martial Art Capoeira is one of my favourite to look at.
I think I was just getting into coloring back then and I was aiming for a more dynamic pose than I normally go for. Let me know what you think. I am always looking to improve. Also would you want to see this guy in a comic? Comics are something I used to do in High School. Even sold a few. Didn't have access to copiers back then so I ended up selling the originals. Stupid 13 year old me. If I could go back in time I will so slap myself silly.
Interestingly enough my brothers used to draw as well. They had a completely different style from me which I liked as well. I think they gave up on it earlier than I did though. They are way more musically inclined than I am.
Looking back at this now I see major flaws with the perspective of the arm and hand in the back. His spine could curve for a better line of action. Lighting wise as well I feel like the lighting direction on the lower half and upper half are different.
Let me know what other flaws you spot. Maybe I will do this guy over.
