The Romanian architects of Lime Studio have imagined DOC, a compact, floating and mobile home with a low environmental impact. This type of dwelling imposes special and complex construction conditions.
High water level changes due to seasonal changes and a tight budget envelope resulted in the construction of a towing platform that can be relocated. The house is adapted to site changes and changes accordingly. Mobility as the main characteristic of the construction dictated the simplicity of the space designed: compact and with a simple and rectangular plane. Although very open, the pontoon offers a visual intimacy thanks to its positioning and the use of shutters. The association wood, glass and metal works very well.
