Today was my long run day so I needed to adjust to a busy early start at work by heading outside as the Sun starting rising. The weather was great so jumped on the opportunity to get started early on my run. I was surprised as I got to the half way mark as I was feeling strong. I did not push any more than usual as I focused on staying in Zone 2 which I was able to stay in for most of the run. The challenge remains finding a route to not run out of time to get back home.
I got home a minute early but almost got to a 10K which made me think that I could target the distance instead of the time in the future. I will just need to figure out the route first to not complicate things again. I got home to a shower and to quickly get to my first meeting. Despite the rush, it did not impact my day for the most part as I was able to get in two trigger sessions during the day. I ended the early evening with some core training as well which made the day pretty successful in getting the activity I wanted.
