I got off to an early start this morning at the gym with some cardio. I focused on speed intervals for 45 minutes which got me some good mileage. I was pushing pretty hard and was feeling good at the end which is a good sign given my experience earlier this week. I am encouraged to see how both sides of my intervals, resting and sprint pace, are higher than in thr past. It shows some good progress on the cardio side.
I continue to balance both sides of cardio and strength as fitness and health are my ultimate goal. While I think it could be hampering some goals in the short term, I think it will get me to where I want to be around being more sustainable with diet in the future. It could be more of a baseline than just trying to push things like now. Incorporating more dietary flexibility will be key but still weary about how to approach it.
