Some great news and blog vacation

Hello dear #wip workers I have to confess, I am a splitter. In the middle of the wip challenge I am leaving the boat. Faithlessly I push the box with my wips under the desk and put a lid on it. I even turn out the light.
I feel like monster… hollow-hearted, cold, and mean. But there is a reason, or better several.
Let’s start with the best one: some weeks ago, I applied for an art prize and an open studio project. And against all odds I was taken for both. The first being a huge success for me as this art prize entails that I will exhibit my work What if? in a bigger museum (Stadtmuseum Düsseldorf) with the possibility to even win money– I still cannot believe it. Annoyingly both, the open studio project and the exhibition in Düsseldorf are taking place in September (Düsseldorf from 6.9-25.9 and the open studio from 2.9.-11.9.) For both projects I need to prepare a lot art wise and as nobody in the @needleworkmonday community came up with a reliable technique of clone-making (although I still suspect some of you have clones, because you are working and crafting so much) or invented an AI which can make art, I need to take a hive-vacation.

Besides my exhibition Candyfloss for Patriarchy – the one with the huge doll - is extended till September, which is amazing too, but also means I need to pack everything up at the beginning of September, when I already have two different events going… ahhhhhhhhh.
And to top it all, my husband has some time off from work starting tomorrow, because we planned some extensive museum visits in the next days, a bit of vacation for both of us.
So, you see, my planning worked fine (irony). To calm myself, I immediately started a new project :-DDDDDD A simple crochet shrug in dark wool which I originally planned to use for a shawl.
Long story short: I will be away roughly till beginning of September.
I will miss youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu <3
