Durante esta fecha, es común observar disfraces, carrozas, hermosos y coloridos desfiles. Hay quienes lo celebran con agua y otros con juegos brusco, recuerdo que, cuando era niña mi mamá me realizaba disfraces con material de provecho y me gustaba jugar con agua; cabe destacar que jugaba hasta un cierto tiempo para no resfriarme.

Sin embargo, con el paso del tiempo todo cambio, empecé a sentir miedo de salir durante esas festividades porque, cerca de la comunidad donde crecí empezaron a jugar con barro, pintura, bombas de agua congeladas e incluso con elementos desagradables, la verdad para mí era aterradora, no quería ni salir. I began to feel afraid to go out during those festivities because, near the community where I grew up, they started playing with mud, paint, frozen water bombs, and even unpleasant things. The truth is that it was terrifying for me; I didn't even want to go out. Fortunately, those times are behind us. Nowadays, I enjoy the carnival atmosphere. I love seeing my grandchildren dressed up and playing in the square. I admire the creativity of the mothers when it comes to making the costumes.

Para ser sincera, esta temática marina me fascinó porque amo el mar. Es una propuesta distinta de lo que estábamos acostumbrados, ya que normalmente se asocia el carnaval con payasos, superhéroes o comiquitas de moda. De esta manera, valoramos la belleza del ecosistema marino y promovemos la conservación del ambiente.

To be honest, this marine theme fascinated me because I love the sea. It's a different approach from what we're used to, since carnival is normally associated with clowns, superheroes, or popular cartoons. Primero, mi compañera del turno de la tarde forro la puerta con papel contact anaranjado y con papel bond blanco, posteriormente empecé a planificar el diseño, para ser sincera no disponía de materiales, entonces fui a la papelería que queda al frente de la escuela y compre: Cartulina rosada, un papel bond blanco, papel crepe de diversos tonos azules y morado claro, por supuesto cinta plástica.

Con entusiasmo pegue el antifaz en la puerta , adorne los lados y el centro del antifaz con tiras de papel crepe, inmediatamente le di color a las imágenes impresas , que luego pegue encimas de las tiras de papel crepe simulando las olas del mar, mi compañera realizo varios antifaz de colores atrayentes , que servirán para dar realce y dinamismo a la decoración, en seguida adherí en el centro de la puerta el material impreso que decía Carnaval Mundo Marino que había realizado en la computadora y que luego imprimí para este proyecto, en cada esquina de la hoja impresa coloque una estrella de mar , un pulpo que pinte para esta ocasión y dos antifaz que realizo mi compañera.

I enthusiastically stuck the mask on the door, decorated the sides and center of the mask with strips of crepe paper, immediately colored the printed images, which I then stuck on top of the crepe paper strips to simulate ocean waves. My partner made several masks in attractive colors, which will serve to enhance and add dynamism to the decoration. I then attached the printed material that said “Carnival Marine World” to the center of the door. I had made it on the computer and then printed it for this project. In each corner of the printed sheet, I placed a starfish, an octopus that I painted for this occasion, and two masks that my partner made.

De pronto se me ocurrió agregar algas. Busqué papel de lustrillo marrón y crepé verde que tenía guardado; recorté tiras y unas siluetas de unas rocas para darle realismo al fondo marino. Finalmente, dibujé y pinté una tortuga, un sapo, un cangrejo y un delfín. Añadí unos círculos de cartulina azul para simular burbujas y pegué los últimos detalles.
Como resultado final, logramos una decoración sencilla, bonita y muy creativa. ¡Espero que les guste!

Suddenly, it occurred to me to add seaweed. I looked for some brown glossy paper and green crepe paper that I had saved; I cut out strips and some silhouettes of rocks to make the seabed look more realistic. Finally, I drew and painted a turtle, a frog, a crab, and a dolphin. I added some blue cardboard circles to simulate bubbles and glued on the final details.
The end result was a simple, beautiful, and very creative decoration. I hope you like it!
