Shepherd's Pie

Today we will be sharing this family favorite: the good'ole Shepherd's Pie. Take that casserole dish out of the cupboard and let's bake us a hearty meal.

Meat Filling

1 cup minced meat
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tsp dark soy sauce
1 tsp rosemary
1 tbsp diced onion
1 tbsp cooking oil
salt to taste
Fry the aromatics in the pan until they release aroma. Then add in meat and sauces to stir fry until cooked.

Sauce

2 tbsp water
1 tsp flour
1 tbsp butter
Put butter into the pan and add in flour. Cook on mellow heat until flour turns brown. Add in water to make sauce.

Combine the Meat filing with Sauce and pour into a casserole dish. Spread evenly.

Topping

1 cup mashed potato
1 tbsp melted butter
1 tbsp mayonise
pinch of salt & pepper
Mozzarella cheese (shredded/granules)
Mash the potato, butter, mayo, salt & pepper together and fill into a piping bag. Pipe the topping on to the meat, covering the whole pan.

Sprinkle the Mozzarella cheese onto the topping before popping into a preheated oven. Bake on 200°C for 15mins.
