As I mentioned before, one of my favorite hobbies is to go out to eat and try new things, there are many food establishments or restaurants that I have visited and many of these I have shared in this community. While it is true that what I most often share are fast food dishes, well, there comes a time when you have to spend a little more to eat something more refined, so to speak. This is how a much missed moment came when we decided that we had to eat a good sushi, previously we had not done it because the prices are usually high, but we got a good offer in a place that is known for making good sushi.

So I present to you Bonsai Sushi, a Japanese food restaurant located in the Los Aviadores shopping center in the city of Maracay, Venezuela. We had never bought anything there, we always passed by the front and curiously saw what the menu offered on their screens, but we continued on our way. In previous years when we lived in the city of Lima, Peru, we had experienced in a very positive way what it is to eat good sushi, so we had the bar pretty high when it comes to this dish and the only place we had tried here in Venezuela had been a little disappointing compared to the quality we already knew.

So, what we ordered was part of the promotional menu called Fiesta Roll which is valid Monday through Thursday, this consists of 10 sushi rolls and a drink. The Acura Rolls (which has avocado on top) is made of rice, breaded white fish, spicy kanikama, peach, avocado and cream cheese, while the other called Kani Rolls, was made of rice, cream cheese, avocado, breaded crab and is topped with dynamite paste. Both lived up to expectations and left us with a pleasant impression.

As you could see in the first pictures, the place is quite nice aesthetically and with a pleasant atmosphere, the design is Japanese themed and of course they use the bonsai as logo, the wooden arrangements are used to give an air very consistent with the Japanese or Asian culture. I must say that I loved these sushi that we ordered which we chose at random since as you know, these vary in each country or region, they had a delicate but firm flavor, just as we remembered them from our experience in Lima. These two dishes cost $10 ($5 each one).

We will definitely return soon and try other variations of sushi that, of course I will share with this community, we believe that this is the place we were longing for and from now on we will visit it frequently.
