Being a Hopium Seller is the Cushiest Job on Hive

Sell hopium everyday for fat votes, never go against the grain and be rewarded for it.
Percentage Gain
Another thing I wrote about over the years is the ability for smaller accounts to massive increase their influence.
The tendency is to look at the raw numbers. Instead, a better approach is to look at percentages.
If an account has 10K HP, adding 2K, or less than 6 HP per day, is a 20% gain in a year. Here is where the middle class can expand its influence.
Considering that curation and inflation adjustment come in near 11%, this means the only needs around 900 HP, or less than 3 per day, from online activity (posting and commenting).
To contrast, Blocktrades, with roughly 12 million HP, needs to generate over 1 million from the same activity. It isn't going to happen.
@taskmaster4450 a prominent hopium seller on Hive claims that looking at things at a percentage basis is a better approach.
So let's take a look at things in percentages.
An account that has 2K HP, powers up another 2K HP. Would you look at that a 100% increase in "influence". Wow! At this speed my man is going to take over blocktrades in this influence race.
No, he is not. Blocktrades would just need to increase his HP by 0.02% to match that same increase in influence.
Do you know why? Because influence is not measured in percentages, it is measured in concrete value that is your HP.
Telling people "WOW! Look at you, you just increased your influence by 100%" is nothing more than selling hopium. This amount of increase in HP doesn't even match what blocktrades gets from passive inflation.
Disparate people of Hive Middle-Class will never be able to have the same influence that someone like blocktrades has. Claiming otherwise is just selling hopium to masses. Telling them if you stack your HP like a good boy, you too would be able to wield the same influence as blocktrades or insert any other whale here. This is simply not true.

Inject that hopium straight to my veins chief

So, why being a hopium seller is the cushiest job on Hive? Well, masses crave the hopium. They want to feel like they are important, they want to feel that whatever they are doing on chain amount to something and when they see a post that supports this narrative. It is lauded as a great post. Churning out hopium posts day after day is the easiest thing to do when people are craving it. You can do nothing wrong while posting hopium.
Anyone here can just scroll taskmaster's post history and see the hopium. One day it is Hive hopium, another day it is Web3 hopium.
You post hopium everyday, and you get fat stacks everday. Life is good!

Sorry, we just run out of hopium

Remember Polycub? Oh man hopium was through the roof when it got launched and a few months after that. I hate to admit, I also participated in said hopium during that time. Call it naivety.
What happens to hopium when a project gets shelved in the dusty shelves of failure? It ceases, of course! No one will buy the hopium of a failed project. Go and checkout taskmaster's post history in recent times. Let me know if you find a post about Polycub.
Anyway that is enough of a rant I think. Upcoming; a rant on Polycub and LIES!
