Hello!
My name is Brien. I am a Graphic Designer and Illustrator, living, working, and traveling out of my 1984 Volkswagen Van named Nathan.
I'm the Lead Graphic Designer and Associate Art Director for the creative team at The Imagination House in Orlando, Florida. Before this, I was a student studying Animation and VFX at the Digital Animation and Visual Effects School. Shortly after graduating, I moved to Burbank, CA working as a Depth Artist at Stereo D, converting major motion pictures to 3D. Fast forward, I shelved my 3D frames, attempted to longboard across the country, and found myself back in the sunshine state doing what I love - designing, illustrating, and creating.
Between my girlfriend Daniella and I, we have started an online blog documenting our vanlife journey. We call ourselves, "The Otherground". The plan is to travel the country, maintaining our simple lifestyle by ditching the full-time grind and converting to freelance artists, designers, and photographers. We think traveling is the best way to stay inspired and keep the creative juices flowing, and we're excited to finally get started! The goal is to set off early next year, 2019, once the van is completely self-sustainable.
