It is now almost certain that the perpetrators of the horrific attack on a Jewish Chanukah celebration on Australia’s Bondi Beach that killed 16 people and injured at least 40 others was the work of Islamic Jew haters. The Jew hate that exists, festers and which is taught to Moslems as a ‘righteous path’ has yet again brought death and destruction to Jews who just wanted to be left alone in peace.
By now you will probably be familiar with this attack and its modus operandi and its horrific end point so there will be no need for me to rehash what others have written and said. However what I do wish to say in both English and Hebrew is this: זיכרונם לברכה השם יקום דמ In English this roughly translates as: May the memory of those murdered be for a blessing and may the Eternal One avenge their blood.
The murderous Islamic savages who carried out the Bondi Beach atrocity were a father and son pair. The father, aged 50, came to Australia in 1998 on a student visa but never left and his son was born in Australia. There is no doubt in my mind that Islamic familial and cultural Jew hatred motivated these two savages, no doubt at all. Whether their heritage is from Pakistan or Lebanon or whether they claim their family history is ‘Palestinian’ is immaterial, what’s behind this act of horror is Islam. Islam is the man behind the curtain on nearly every attack like this, especially attacks on Jews. We’ve seen it happening worldwide and it’s why, perversely, I felt far safer on the streets of Tel Aviv when I last visited than I would at a similar time of day in London. When in Israel I have confidence that when ‘kill the Jews’ is preached in any mosques within the purview of the Israeli authorities, then the Israeli security services will know about it and deal with it, I don’t have such faith in London’s Metropolitan Police to act in a similar way.
That’s not of course to say that every Moslem is a monster (although a lot are in various ways), there are Moslems who are not like that at all, such as the Moslem man who heroically intervened in the attack to disarm one of the gunmen. However I take the view that such praiseworthy and righteous individuals are that way because of their inherent moral compass and not because of any of the precepts of Islam.
One admirably heroic Moslem should not distract us from what this attack was and what motivated it. It was not about what some might see as related to land rights in the Levant region of the Middle East, instead it is related to the Jew hatred that runs through Islam like a seaside town’s name on a stick of rock. Jew hatred is baked into Islam to such an extent it takes an enormous amount of effort for individual Moslems and the more liberal and less orthodox sects of Islam to break away from it.
The aftermath of this attack has been somewhat predictable. There have been calls for more gun control from Australian politicians when what was probably needed and needed for a while, was some form of control of how much and what sort of Islam Australia was letting in. Liberal (with a small ‘L’) BBC consuming friends have given condolences to my family following the attack and spoke of their horror and disgust at the attack. I thank them for that concern but I do not agree with other stuff they believe, such as their belief that Islam is part of a family of Abrahamic religions. I can understand where they are coming from and why they have come to the view that they have but I can’t consider Islam as part of my faith family. Islam, or at least too much of its modern interpretation of it, is not something I want to consider as ‘family’. Its moral codes are not the same as those that Judaism and Christianity are based on, even though Islamic literature borrows heavily from the Tanakh and the Christian Testament. If Islam is ‘family’ to me, then it’s the equivalent of a hypothetical shameful and now shunned distant relative who became a serial killer.
The bleating by politicians about gun control and the wishful thinking of liberals who still claim that ‘diversity is strength’ or that the terrorists are not in any way representative of Islam or Islamic religious thought, is in my view displacement activity. It’s a way of not answering very difficult questions or accepting that some ideas, such as the ‘magic soil’ theory of immigration where integration comes through osmosis, have failed dismally.
Those who whine on about gun control in Australia, a country where firearms ownership is already robustly controlled, overlook the fact that if this pair of murderous Islamic savages had not had access to firearms, then they would probably have killed Jews by other means. Without a firearm, it is likely that they would have killed with knives, vehicles or bombs and we know that because that is what jihadist savages have done in the United Kingdom and across Europe, where they’ve killed Jews, Christians and others in the name of Islam.
There is going to be the need to ask some uncomfortable questions after this atrocity, but I have very little in the way of confidence that Western governments, including that of Australia, have the balls to ask them, therefore the public must ask them. Questions such as why was this savage allowed to stay in Australia even though he had arrived on a student visa? Why was he allowed to settle in a place that is normally quite difficult to gain permanent residence in? Who or what agency gave permission for this savage to reside in Australia? Was some idiotic‘refugees welcome’ type of campaign in some form involved somehow? Why was a family of jihad-addled savages not on Australian police or security service radar and if they were, why were they not stopped earlier? How many more simulacra of these murderous Islamic savages are walking around Australia suffering from the same deranged Islam inspired Jew hatred and who are ready and willing to ‘go off’ (maybe literally) at present? The political classes in Western countries such as Australia are unwilling to either ask or answer such questions and that’s to all of our detriment, whether we are Jewish or not, because Islamic hatred of the ‘other’ does not end with Jews, Jews are just the canary in the coal-mine when it comes to Islamic hatred.
The bold incitements to violence and hatred that are said to be being preached in mosques across Australia, in Islamic literature and media and on college campuses that have fallen to the cult of ‘Palestinianism’, are not phenomena that are Australia’s alone. They are everywhere in the West. These problems can be found in Britain, the USA, France, Germany, Italy and Canada. In all of these places a sense that there is a need to guard against the terrible threat to us all of religious extremism seems to have gone out of the window. In place of what should have been, for common sense and civilizational survival reasons, a full spectrum scepticism of Islam, we got appeasement of such an abject sort that it would have even shamed the appeasers of Hitler, should they have been around to see it. Dr Michael De Percy writing in The Spectator Australia summed up the mistakes that Australia and much of the West has made towards Islam when he said:
Endless pro-Palestine protests have been clearly antisemitic, yet the police have been powerless to act as if held back by some institutionalised two-tier idea of justice and freedom. NSW Premier Chris Minns has consistently said all the right things, but his words have been at odds with the Prime Minister and especially Foreign Minister, Penny Wong. And there have been few actions to back up his words.

Dr De Percy is correct there. Australia tolerated clear and obvious Jew-hatred based protests from both Moslems and their useful idiots of the left. Right after the October 7th 2023 Pogrom in Israel committed by the Islamic terror group Hamas, radical Moslems and their deluded and malevolent Leftist allies called for the ‘gassing’ of Jews outside Sydney Opera House and nothing was done about it by the Australian government nor the security forces in that country. Excuses were made by those in authority and inaction against those involved and that emboldened radical Moslems to continue promoting the hatred of Jews and promoting violence against Jews. In my view free speech stops when violence is credibly incited and I’ve little doubt at all that there are a lot of Australian Moslems and idiotic Leftists who overstepped that line with little or no pushback from the Australian government or its security services.
Sadly the situation that Australia finds itself in with regards to Islamic hatreds and violence and cultural incompatibility are not confined to Australia. The same problems of appeasement and failing to see the heart of this problem are to be found in the UK as well. Mosques said to be hosting hate preachers do not seem to face any sort of sanction, apart from some half-hearted investigations into these mosques by the Charity Commission, which rarely if ever result in these mosques being forcibly closed down. Following every Islamic atrocity that occurs in the UK, the response is the same or very similar, the people are advised by the government to stop noticing the problems of Islamic extremism, to praise ‘diversity’ and to ‘not look back in anger’. This is a path that leads to social and cultural suicide by trying to be ‘nice’ to those who will not and cannot because of their ideology reciprocate. It is therefore a path that should be rejected and be replaced with a realistic view of the nature of the terrorist and related problems we face which come either in whole or in part from some paths within Islam.
There will of course be more and more revelations about the Islamic savages who carried out this attack that will emerge over the coming weeks and months. We will probably find out that the extremism of this pair might have been noticed by those who could have done something about it but didn’t for various reasons. We will probably find out how closely this pair of savages were associated with the cult of ‘Palestinianism’ that has gripped Western seats of learning and what Islamic media they consumed and what they heard at their mosque or mosques.
Ideally when the full story comes out it will be the decisive moment for Australia to man up and take on those who wish to destroy their society in the name of Islam, but there’s also the possibility that this will not happen. Like in the UK following Islam inspired terror attacks or Islam inspired criminality such as the rape gang phenomenon, an inquiry will probably take place that will equally probably recommend that ‘lessons be learned’ but in reality nothing will be done to alleviate the problem of Islamic extremism or Islam inspired violence or bestial forms of Islam inspired criminality.
It will only be when the peoples of Western nations vote for political parties and politicians who expressly talk about Islam related problems that things might change. We cannot trust the current crop of politicians and administrators to do that job of talking about and countering Islamic extremism and Islam inspired criminality. Our current (mis)rulers have clearly failed at this job and maybe it’s time for someone else to have a go? After all the primary job of a government is to protect its citizens or subjects and Western governments, with the possible exception of Trump’s USA, are not doing that. If they were concerned about our safety rather than virtue signalling about how nice they are to Moslems then Western governments would have different policies to the ones they espouse at the moment.
Going back to the atrocity, I don’t believe that it will turn out that this pair of Islamic savages acted alone. There is bound to be some sort of network behind them as was the case with the Islamic savage named (of course) Jihad who attacked a British synagogue on Yom Kippur this year as there have been other arrests in connection with this attack. I suspect that it will eventually be revealed that this pair of savages are not alone and are connected to dozens if not hundreds of other similar savages who are ready, willing and able to kill innocent people in the name of Islam.
Australia’s toleration of Islam inspired Jew hatred and the backing of this savagery by the far Left is not a new phenomenon there. This is a problem that has gone back at least a decade according to the commentator Colonel (ret) Richard Kemp who pointed out to a deluded Leftist on X that Jew hate marches and campaigns date back to 2015 at least and that Sydney University was a hotbed of such stuff.

Australia’s problem with Islam inspired Jew hatred and incitement to violence did not happen overnight, it’s a problem that’s been growing with both the number of adherents of Islam in Australia and the decision by Leftists who should know better to align themselves to radical Islam. The Islamic savages who carried out the attack on Bondi Beach might have been the actual murderers but the facilitators of these murderers can be found in Australian politics, Australian media and Australian academia. These individuals and the entities they run should also be considered guilty with regards to this atrocity, since they were in positions where they could have done something about Islamic extremism but chose not to do anything, apart from utter empty words of condemnation of this problem. These guilty men, to borrow a phrase taken from a book condemning appeasement of Germany prior to World War II written by, amongst others, later former UK Labour leader Michael Foot, have created in large part our current problems with regards to the naive appeasement of radical Islam. Ideally they need to be removed from their positions of authority and the organisations they’ve run need to be cleaned out of sympathisers of Islam but that can only be done when we the people elect those who will do this vital job for us.
Surely the Bondi Beach attack should be the moment when there emerges a political expression of the term ‘enough is enough’? I’d really like to think so. However the sad fact is that so many of those who govern us are enamoured of the idea that Islam is not a problem for the West, that it’s likely that nothing will be done. If nothing concrete was done about this problem in the UK following the 7/7 attacks, Manchester Arena bombing, Tunisian beach massacre, Parson’s Green Tube bombing, the slaughter of three gay men in Reading, the murders of Jews on Yom Kippur in Manchester, the murder of Lee Rigby and so many other atrocities and failed jihad plots, then why would those in authority do anything different this time after Bondi? This observation applies not just to the UK but to Australia and other Western nations as well? Nothing will be done until the next time a Moslem goes ‘full Islam’ and slaughters more innocent people, at which point those in authority will don sackcloth and ashes and do bugger all about the problem that their class has created but which the rest of us suffer from, just as they always do.
The Bondi attack must be seen as a full stop, a marker in history where things change but if we want that, then we have to choose that politically and not expect those who’ve failed us to do the job of protecting us that they’ve already clearly failed at accomplishing.
