Every Sunday can be wonderful—if you make the effort, even staying home can be interesting—but this time I didn’t stay in; I went out to explore José María Cartaya Park in Guarenas, Venezuela.
It’s a place full of life, known as the Nueva Casarapa Lagoon. There are plenty of trees, various birds, iguanas, fish, and a walking path that runs along the lake. On one side is a Catholic church, and on the other, an Evangelical one.

I liked it because there were a lot of people there—even though you can’t tell from the pictures—but even so, it wasn’t noisy. You could really feel the energy of nature.
It’s definitely a place to recharge. If you decide to visit, bring plenty of water, because as I said, you really feel nature there, and the sun is part of it.

Todos los domingos son sublimes, si te lo propones, hasta quedarse en casa puede resultar interesante; pero esta vez no me quedé, salí a conocer el Parque José María Cartaya en Guarenas, Venezuela.
Es un lugar con mucha vida; conocido como la Laguna de Nueva Casarapa. Abundan árboles, diversas aves, iguanas, peces, y una caminería que bordea el lago. De un lado una Iglesia Católica y del otro, una Evangélica.
La cantidad de iguanas era impresionante, muchas se camuflaban con las ramas de los árboles y otras eran exóticamente verdes.
Me gustó porque había mucha gente, aunque no se aprecie en las imágenes, pero aun así, no había ruido. La energía de la naturaleza se hacía presente.
Sin duda es un lugar para resetear. Si te animas a visitarlo, lleva mucha agua, porque como dije, la naturaleza se siente y el sol es parte de ella.
