A beautiful new day to us all, I hope that our days are coming on well and that we are having a good week so far. I believe that some people can hardly wait for the week to be over with.

Here is the variety of the long pepper we have grown and you can see from the picture how these unripe pepper are already falling off the plant. This is one of the challenges we often encounter with growing Long pepper. These long pepper are meant to start getting ripe while they remain on the tree so that we can harvest them both for use and also for sale at the market. But now that they have falling off the plant and are not ripe it kindof posses some losses to farmers.

At the slightest wind current long pepper often fall off the plant while they are still unripe. And while they are green like this no one will be willing to purchase or eat these green pepper.

While they are like this some farmers often pickup the green pepper and use artificial chemical and use it to to make these pepper ripe so that they can still sell it at the market. They equally use these ripening agents for fruits and vegetables. But I expect you to know that those chemicals are not totally healthy for human consumption, hence in everyway possible we often avoid the use of Artificial Ripening agents for our vegetables and pepper.

Sometimes the green pepper even as they are like these are usually very hot in the food, so if you are a farmer and face this kind of challenge the best thing is to pickup these pepper, mix them with some company of ripped pepper and use them for your foods. As long as they are pepperrish they could still serve some purpose. We haven't found a solution to stop this devastating challenge but and it is not an option to totally avoid growing this specie of pepper because of this challenge.
