Nike is a renowned American Sports Organization and the multinational corporation whose headquarters is in Oregon. Nike’s products mainly include sportswear, and it is involved in designing, development, manufacturing, marketing, and sales of products such as footwear, apparel, services, and accessories worldwide. As one of the global leaders in the supply of athletic shoes, apparel and sports equipment, Nikes products have managed to earn the company revenue more than 24billion US dollars in its fiscal year ending May 2012, with its personnel base growing to exceed 40000 employees. As a result, Nike has been rated as the most valuable brand sought after by most athletes. Nike products are marketed under Nike brand, and examples include Nike Golf, Air Jordan, Nike Blazers, Air Force 1, Nike Dunk and Air Max. Subsidiaries under Nike include Hurley International, Converse, and Brand Jordan. Apart from manufacturing services, Nike also operates retail outlets named Niketown as part of its marketing strategies to reach out to all potential customers. The group is also involved in sponsoring of high profile athletes, and sports teams with recognized trademarks of ‘’Just Do It” and the “Swoosh” logo. The Product line consists mainly of sports equipment and street fashions. Under sports equipment category, Nike’s products include; truck running shoes, Nike Vapor Irons, Nike vapor staff, Nike vapor drivers, Nike method origin counter flex, Nike watches and Nike golf. Additionally, jerseys, shoes, cleats base layers and shorts for different kinds of sporting activities such as baseball are also manufactured. In the recent past, Nike has introduced Nike+ p, a product that monitors and links a runners performance to the iPod Nano (AllBusiness.com).
