The persimmon flowers in my garden are absolutely stunning right now, bursting with blooms! At first glance, they might look modest or plain, but if you take a moment to admire them up close, you can see their delicate, slightly yellowish beauty.

When I checked on my potted tangerine tree, I found that some hungry swallowtail butterfly larvae had practically eaten all the leaves! So, I moved them over to the kumquat tree in the backyard. That tree is so big and strong that even after the larvae munched on all its leaves, new ones popped up immediately. I can’t help but feel excited thinking about how soon those little larvae will become pupae, and before I know it, there will be beautiful swallowtail butterflies fluttering around my garden next month!

今、庭の木の柿の花が満開です。 柿の花はとっても控えめの花で、地味と言うほどですがよく見ると少し黄色がかったその花はとっても美しいです。

鉢植えしていたミカンの木を見るとアゲハチョウの幼虫がほぼすべての葉っぱを食べ尽くしていたので、裏庭のキンカンの木に移してあげた。 地植えしているキンカンの木は大きく育っているので、アゲハチョウの幼虫に葉っぱを食べられてもすぐに新しい葉っぱが伸びて再生していました。 もうすぐしたらその幼虫もサナギになって、来月には庭にアゲハチョウが庭に舞うと考えるとすごく楽しみ。
