It hardly seems possible that so much time has gone past!
My partner had died in January and I was just beginning to think about what my life was going to look like without him, when I saw @uwelang on Facebook encouraging some of his friends from the defunct TSU platform to sign up for an account on Steemit. No one knew at the time that it would lead to our beloved Hive blockchain!
It took weeks before I got an account but I finally arrived on May 6th, but then I spent the first month looking around before I got brave enough to try posting anything.
Not long after I was here, I found the mobile app that @good-karma was developing. I began using that on my phone and I was hooked. I've used the app ever since.
In the beginning there was so much to learn and that learning process has still not ended! Not a day goes by that I don't learn something new. Thanks to everyone for their patience and explanations as I learned about wallets and keys, crypto, creating communities, and a never ending list of things that were new to me.
I have gotten to know so many people here and feel like I have close friends all around the world. Those friends are what have kept me here.
The Feathered Friends Community, Shadow Hunters and meeting so many people from all around the world in the Ecency Discord has given me a focus that was unexpected.
I can't imagine my life without Hive and without all of you! Thank you for 5 wonderful years ♥️
