A few days ago, I was listening to some new songs recommended by YouTube. Among them, I heard a collaboration between British rapper Dave and Tems, a Nigerian singer.

Esta canción de la que hablo se llama Raindance, que entra en este género que ha estado sonando mucho en el mundo, que es el con tintes de Afrobeat, aunque tura ligeramente también hacia el R&B. Y esta combinación me gustó mucho. De hecho, se me hace increíble cómo dos estilos tan distintos (el rap británico y el soul nigeriano) logran fundirse en una melodía que se siente tan natural.
The song I'm talking about is called Raindance, which falls into a genre that has been very popular around the world, with hints of Afrobeat, although it also leans slightly toward R&B. I really liked this combination. In fact, I find it incredible how two such different styles (British rap and Nigerian soul) manage to blend into a melody that feels so natural.
La escuché un día que estaba trabajando con la laptop, y para distraer un poco mi mente de tanto estrés, quise escuchar música nueva. Pero como estaría concentrada en el trabajo, realmente no prestaría mucha atención a las canciones, sin embargo, en cuanto empezó a sonar esta, su ritmo realmente me relajó bastante la mente y me hizo prestarle mucha más atención.
Podría considerarla en este momento como mi canción favorita del mes, sin problema alguna, y es que, esta canción, desde mi perspectiva, es minimalista y elegante. I heard it one day when I was working on my laptop, and to distract my mind a little from so much stress, I wanted to listen to some new music. But since I was focused on work, I wasn't really paying much attention to the songs. However, as soon as this one started playing, its rhythm really relaxed my mind and made me pay much more attention to it.
I could easily consider it my favorite song of the month right now, because, from my perspective, this song is minimalist and elegant. The production has a sophisticated feel to it. It's not a song to jump around to at a festival, but rather to listen to while driving at night or relaxing with a drink.
