I know this is not this month's theme, but it was a few months ago as you can see in this
post by our hostess. At the time I made my modest contribution to the monthly theme, but going through my archives I found these images I took on my last trip to Varadero. I took them with the intention of bringing them here, but I had forgotten them in some folder.
On 59th and 1st streets in Varadero, there is a small art gallery. Several artists from the province of Matanzas and other localities exhibit and sell their creations there. There are some works of great artistic value, but most of them are handicrafts to be sold as souvenirs for tourists visiting the resort.
The collection that I "appropriated" to share with you is composed of several handcrafted musical instruments made of wood, which I found there. They are simple manufactures and have the name of Cuba written on them so that they perfectly serve their purpose of evoking memories.
The first piece that caught my attention was this little piano...I don't think those hands can get any notes out of its keys, but we can always use our imagination 😊.
Other stringed instruments were also as part of this orchestra. Some are difficult to identify due to....the creativity of the author 😉.

Looks like 🤔...a cello?
Another instrument that many love, the "Saxophone", was also part of the collection. Although the real ones are made of brass, it is classified with a woodwind instruments. This version I present to you eliminates any confusion with its classification 😜.
And to the rhythm of the music of this small handmade orchestra from a corner of the most beautiful beach in Cuba, I say goodbye until the next collection.
