I have been fortunate enough to spend another week contemplating stunning landscapes that reminded me of the beauty this world offers. I found serenity and peace in the mountains and attained it in connecting with an infinite beauty of sky. There is nature, raw and profound, an experience for an individual untouched.
The mountains are resilient and confident as their jagged landscape lines against the sky. Every photo represented a moment, and every moment was a quiet experience from earth to sky. The sun glided in the way it does, mainly acknowledging the mountain ranges, which lay down in a brilliant gold with enough warmth to soak the earth and promise another day of growth ahead.
And the sky was superb. And never to run dry. From the hues of the early morning brilliant blue to the luminescent gold of the afternoons and sunsets of a full, rich orange glow, the sky flowed as well as the mountains. Each photographic frame was taken from a gift from nature, who had opened up the treasure cabinets to share with me one of her finest secrets.
Every photograph felt like pure joy and happiness. It was the overwhelming abundance of the environment that left me feeling a warmth in my heart, gratitude. For the experience was not photography. It was so much more than that. Each time I released the shutter, I felt inspiration and gratitude and fully engaged in capturing a moment.
Nature reminds us to slow down and to notice. It is these beautiful, quiet, scenic and wholesome experiences that are precisely what keep me inspired. I am just fascinated to see how quickly a landscape can evacuate your mind, as if you can ignite a deeper creative urge.
The purpose of sharing the photographs first is to provide the opportunity and invitation into the experiences I went through. I hope it encourages and inspires you to take notice, stop, venture outside, and simply look around. Sometimes the peace we are looking for is right in front of our faces – as a mountain, blue sky, or sunshine warmth.
