Hi there! I am new to Splinterlands, heard about it through my friend @brojustaverage who strongly recommended the game to me. Took me a few days to understand, but I think I'm slowly getting the hang of it! I really like the amount of underlying strategy the game has, and I've learned (through much trial and error) that a card with high mana DOES NOT mean it will automatically beat a lower-mana card.
I know the strategy required for Splinterlands will be ever-changing
based on the new card drops and as I move up the league rankings.
Just like World Poker Champion Daniel Negreanu said,
"once you think you know it all, thats when everyone else surpasses you."

I am a pretty avid gamer, but games like Splinterlands - where all the strategy comes before the battle - are an entirely different ballgame to me. The learning curve will be large, but with the help of this growing community, I am sure this will be a game I become dedicated to.
I have found that my most reliable deck at low mana is earth, at high mana would be life, but my favourite card lies in the water!
The Serpent of Eld is such a fun tank card for me to use and it's dodge ability has gotten me out of countless sticky situations! Serpent of Eld and the Crustacean King are my favourite in-game duo.
On the other hand, the *unicorn mustang* has been the bane of my existence,
as I see people use that card alongside *child of the forest* so often at
sub-fifteen mana.
Thanks for reading, If you're just about to get into the game here is my referral link to use!
