It is #marketFriday and it is one of the activity that is a must for individual because as human being the most move away from your immediate environment or one location to visit one place or the other and this will also serve as a site seeing for others to know how it is been done in your own town, state or country. Because we are in different state, different country and different continent. The differences must be there. What it is been consumed in your own town or state maybe different from what other people consume.
Foodstuff is one of the commonest piece you can easily get access to here in West Africa Nigeria. And this is simply because we have some people who actually move around to sell to people which I called Hawking. Because so many people make a living out of it.
Pepper family 🫑🌶️🍅🍒🌶️🍅, the tomato 🍅🍒 as well and so many species of pepper are also being sold in different corners of the street. This is also possible because they believe that it must not be every time you visit the local market before you can get access to some foodstuffs And some food items. From one corner end to another you see a lot of people mostly the hausa men doing selling of perishable foods.
The pepper also varies as I have said earlier and that is why as individual, you must know the combination of the perishable you want to buy to give you a certain aroma or taste to consume.
In the picture you can see that there are some few people that actually hang around to also partake in the buying and selling transaction. The type of pepper or tomato you have maybe different from ours. As well show us some pictures of them. At the moment we perishables are not in a very large quantity despite the fact that we are in the raining season. We have less farmer producing it. And the economic price fluctuation and instability also affect it.
- We have the tomato that is absolutely reddish in color and those that are halfway riped. They also said them in basket as you can see the basket. When it is filled up to the brim, it is being sold for #4500 which is equivalent to 2.81 United States Dollar
This is the huge big basket that is used to package and purchase onions. They also use the same basket for tomato when it is been purchased in the big market for other retailers.
The display of a perishables 🫑🍒🍅🌶️🍅🍒🫑are always very inviting because even when you are passing by you see that they are more people stopping to buy one out of things for the family usage.
- This is the type of onions that we have and it is easy to consume and to digest. No matter how quantity you buy it is very flexible at the sense that due to it is a wet onion it can easily get spoilt. If it is then please inside the heat environment. That is why even when you see onions in the market it is always place in a very air environment.
