The sword is a cold piercing-cutting or stabbing weapon, a kind of sword, consisting of a long (about 1 meter or more), a straight one-two-blade or a cut blade and a hilt (hilt) with a shackle and a guard of various shapes.
In sport fencing there are also rapier and espadron. But if the rapier appeared as a light sword, then the espadron is of independent origin (it was intended to simulate a light fencing saber during training).
