I usually don't like to work with ink due to more elevated cost if you compare it to pencils, and also because if you do a mistake the drawing is gone, unless you know how to make the proper corrections. In this opportunity I tested some texture techniques to elaborate this tree. Many of my friends told me that it looks like an oak made of wires haha. The brain can make a lot of interpretations on textures.
