| Le Cap-Vert est rempli d'illustrations populaires de Cesaria Evora. Ce petit pays ne fais pas souvent parlé de lui et Cesaria est celle qui l'a fait connaître. Certains ne connaissent rien à ce pays, ne savent même pas le localiser, mais connaisse cette artiste chantant pieds nus ce rythme à la fois nostalgique et mélancolique que l'on appelle la Morna et que l'on ne chante qu'ici, au Cap-Vert, et nulle part alilleurs. La reconnaissance pour cette artiste est devenue aussi populaire que l'artiste elle-même. Elle est peinte, elle est chantée, elle est symbolisée partout dans les rues du Cap-Vert. Voici ici une de ces illustrations dans le minuscule village de Tarrafal situé au sud-ouest de l'île de San Antao. Sur le mur d'un bar où un autre artiste y a inscrit son souvenir. |
