Welcome my assiduous and new reader to my blog.
Today the topic to deal with are the services for children, and this is something that is interesting and controversial.
I have read that it is a challenge in many countries.
Reading the publication of @gwajnberg, I saw the challenge they have in Canada where, for example, to children who are Native Americans, they are trying to insert in a culture that is not theirs, and this is something that has to be taken into account.
It is important to have the appropriate context of each child, of each family, that you cannot change the tradition and the culture that that person has, that he has been dragging.
In each country, the situation is different.
Talking directly here from Venezuela, I can say that the social services of attention to the child are really not of quality, and the children who tend to end up in these institutions for one reason or another tend to have more problems and more conflicts than a normal child.
And this is simply because the institutions do not meet the requirements necessary to be able to give an adequate education to the child.

The temporary lodging institutions or orphanages do not have the necessary resources to cover the needs of the children, and generally, these children are placed in public schools where we know that education is not precisely the best.
And being living in these orphanages, it is very likely that they will run into other children who do not have precisely the best possible education.
Due to the great financial shortages that exist in the country, as in other countries, because corruption is huge, the people in charge of taking care of these children do not receive the payments, the salaries according to what the social workers are doing.
The teachers, the nurses, the cooks, all the whole team of work that is in charge of ensuring the safety and well-being of the children, are not receiving the benefits and the salary they need.
And beyond that, the children do not receive the resources they need, such as the right clothing, the food.
Many times, in these care centers and in these orphanages, they do not receive the funding from the government of food necessary to be able to cover and support all these children.
This is why we see on the street many children working and children who live on the street, leading a bad life or probably picking up cans, and they live from that because they have parents who do not take care of them, who have probably fallen into drugs and are not able to attend to their children, or have not learned about family planning and have any number of children, have been irresponsible parents.

And as they have been led by addictions and drugs, there are many cases in which drugs have led them to ruin; others in which parents who have dedicated themselves to the world of bets and have completely destroyed their homes, leaving the children abandoned, and it has been the government that has had to take care of them.
Then, there is a great problem in this sense because all the resources of the taxes that are obtained from the countries, that are supposed to be used in issues like this—provide them with education, food, and a good life to these children who have been mistreated or who do not have the opportunity to be attended by social workers and by the state—it is quite serious that politicians grab all these resources and send them to their pockets.
And this becomes that we have social institutions that are not able to cover and face all the needs of protection to the child.
And that, taking into account that here in Venezuela we have laws that protect the child, the teenager, and the elderly, but the problem is that to comply with those laws, it is not just the part of carrying out the sanction or imprisoning the offender, but the part that must be applied—that is, to provide them with education, food, and a loving home and the necessary conditions for the life of these children—cannot be carried out because there are no necessary resources for them.
The solution really is that people are educated.
As I always say, education is the primordial thing for everyone, in that they have family planning, be loving with their children, educate them, and above all, that they also educate the politicians, that they know that the resources must be destined to this type of social work to support the children, who are the future of the world.
I think that is what is currently needed, not only in Venezuela but in many countries.
