Last month i joined Worldcoin, a new crypto project, co-founded by Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI.
Worldcoin aims to be a digital identity and financial network, digital identify because of World ID, a digital passport that lets us prove we are a real and unique person while remaining anonymous using iris scan.
All I had to do was install Worldcoin app from Google Store and find an Orb spot near me, Orb is a special device developed by Worldcoin to scan the iris.
And that's all, my phone, my iris and a couple of $WLD in my wallet ☺️
Some info from Worldcoin whitepaper
- Images collected by the Orb device are immediately deleted
- No name, address, email, etc is required
- Worldcoin does not, and never will, sell anyone’s personal data
- All data is securely encrypted
- The only personal data that leaves the Orb is a message containing the iris code to validate uniqueness
