The time you have all been waiting for has arrived! Week 46 of #zencolouringcontest ended yesterday, and now to announce the winners!
So without further ado, let's get on with the show*(case)*!

I chose this one because I love the effect that the simplicity of colours create. Having the majority of the design coloured in a stone like colour and shaded subtly to give texture and a worn rock effect is a nice touch. The minimal use of the featured colour has been done in a very clever way, making them the gemstones of this ancient carved design. I love the addition and idea of one gem being missing, like it has been lost or taken by an explorer!
I picked this one because I love the bright neon colour palette. Those light colours such as yellow and orange pair really well with the green and they all contrast nicely with the darker blue segments that fill the majority of the outer area. I also like the bright pale blue that the outline has been cleverly coloured in with, it gives a futuristic and electronic look to the design which is rather eye catching!
I chose this one as the winner because I love the unique idea of turning the design into a very decorative pond that houses a Koi fish. I like the speckled blue watery texture created around the outer sections that alternate blending into a greenish pond water colour at certain segments of the design. I also like the shiny glass texture created by the shading of white that surrounds the middle section and i like the golden speckles that are dotted around the pond, looking like plant life or coins that were thrown in for wishes. The swirling water and Koi fish in the center are the final touch that brings the inspiration and idea for this design to life!
