I picked this one because I love the effect and pattern created by the simplicity of orange shades mixed with white. The shapes and patterns of the design are highlighted by the clever positioning of the shades of orange making them quite eye catching. I like that white was used to create space between the shapes and even as a smart use of negative space!
I chose this one because I love the bright and sparkly colour palette. The colours are definitely representative of that from a Fiesta or Carnivàle. The use of purples and reds with the subtle addition of orange is a great combination and creates lovely patterns within the different shapes of the design. I also like the clever addition of particles and lighting effects to create that sparkly and glowing effect!
I picked this one as the winner because I love the creativity and inspiration of making the design look like hot metal and charred wood. The orange colours have worked really well with the shading to create a metal copper look and the subtle brown textured areas look like the remain wood yet to be charred. I like the addition of red in the eyes, it adds an extra effect to resemble heat and the darker brown and blue areas certainly resemble charred materials. The additional details of the steam rising from the design ties it all together nicely. A very unique and creative idea!

What an outstanding week it has been, there were so many beautiful and colourful sugar skulls, I wish i could give prizes to you all sometimes, and this week is one of those times.
