Greetings, Hivers! Welcome to my blog. I wish you a happy weekend and hope you're all doing well. As I mentioned in another post, my daughter Raquel is visiting Italy with some lovely friends. They took her to see the Basilica of Superga, a church near Turin, the city where Raquel is staying. It was built in the 18th century by Victor Amadeus II of Savoy and is located atop Superga Hill. To get there, you have to take a tram.
My daughter told me that the tram ride up the hill to the Basilica is beautiful. The 20-minute trip is quite an experience in itself, and the views from there are spectacular. Entry to the Basilica is free, but you do need to buy a ticket to visit the tombs of the Savoy kings. Here are some photos, with my daughter's permission. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
