We were desperate for rain and a storm was headed our way........the clouds built and built, so high they went!
Underneath was as black as night.
Still...we were in sunshine while 15ks away was getting torrential rain, completely blocking out the city and port.
Meanwhile at home, the maize fields were bathed in the setting sun,
Our beautiful native Tui bird was having her bath before bedtime.
The setting sun's rays hit the storm clouds turning them to fire.
We finally got some rain and an epic thunderstorm that took out the power...time to go to bed
