You may not know it, but CHOCOLATE is very toxic to dogs. It contains a substance, theobromine, which can be fatal for our legged mates because they metabolize it much more slowly than we do.

This is the dark chocolate that contains the most (between 450 and 1600 mg for a 100g plate, the more it contains% cocoa, the higher the rate is), followed by milk chocolate (between 150 and 220 mg) . White chocolate contains only trace amounts. Cocoa powder, on the other hand, is drunk (between 2600 and 5300 mg per 100 grams, depending on whether it is very pure or if it has been added sugar and milk powder before being packaged).

A dose of 100 to 250 mg per kilogram of body weight may be FATAL in dogs (depending on their age, shape, health). In the worst case (maximum concentration of theobromine in chocolate), a dog that ingests the following quantities of chocolate may die!
