Saludos y feliz sábado, el día de hoy les comparto unas fotos que tome durante mi visita al parque local de la ciudad, donde les muestro unas vistas maravillosas que había pasado por alto las veces que he venido acá al Parque Guaquerí. Una de las cosas que debo mencionar que este parque tiene tres entradas, originalmente cuando era niña entrabamos por lo que es ahora el estacionamiento, y también había otra entrada por el centro de la ciudad al lado del puente donde bajaba por unas escaleras y lo primero que te encontrabas era con el río Manzanares, hoy use esa entrada por lo que aproveche de tomar fotos de este río que ha sido objeto de muchas canciones, historias y poemas de cultores locales que han pasado de generación en generación, a pesar de que estamos en época de lluvia como pueden ver el nivel del agua está bajo, igual se puede apreciar desde aquí su belleza y gran extensión, este río divide la ciudad, por lo que se han construido diversos puentes sobre él.
Mientras avanzaba por este lado del parque encontré una escultura tipo monolito que se sitúa justo antes del cafetín frente a una cancha deportiva, al preguntarle a los trabajadores del parque me indicaron que está acá desde la época de su construcción en los años de 1974, la misma tiene forma de alicate como pueden ver y según lo que me informaron fue realizada por escultor de la ciudad y representaba el proceso de industrialización que atravesábamos para ese entonces, también se puede apreciar otra escultura compuesta por dos grandes rocas dispuestas frente a la segunda entrada del parque que data de la fecha de la puesta en funcionamiento al público unos tres años después de su construcción.
Otro aspecto que tampoco pasa desapercibido es la gran altura de muchos árboles que datan de hace más de 200 años al igual que su frondosidad, que le aportan mucha frescura al ambiente, siendo muy apreciado por los visitantes que acudimos al parque, la vegetación es muy variada, con lindas flores que resaltan entre el verdor del lugar. Si tienen la oportunidad de viajar a la ciudad de Cumaná, los invito a visitar este maravilloso parque que es ideal para disfrutar de sus espacios en familia, o venir solo a relajarse a leer un libro bajo la sombra de un árbol, hasta una nueva oportunidad.

Greetings and happy Saturday, today I share with you some pictures I took during my visit to the local city park, where I show you some wonderful views that I had overlooked the times I have come here to Guaquerí Park. One of the things I should mention that this park has three entrances, originally when I was a child we entered through what is now the parking lot, and there was also another entrance through the center of the city next to the bridge where you went down some stairs and the first thing you met was the Manzanares River, today I used that entrance so I took the opportunity to take pictures of this river that has been the subject of many songs, stories and poems of local writers that have passed from generation to generation, although we are in rainy season as you can see the water level is low, you can still appreciate from here its beauty and great extension, this river divides the city, so several bridges have been built over it.
As I was walking along this side of the park, I found a monolith type sculpture that is located just before the cafeteria in front of a sports field, when I asked the park workers they told me that it is here since the time of its construction in the years of 1974, It has the shape of pliers as you can see and according to what I was told was made by a sculptor of the city and represented the process of industrialization, that we were going through at that time, you can also see another sculpture composed of two large rocks placed in front of the second entrance of the park, dating from the date of the opening to the public about three years after its construction.
Another aspect that does not go unnoticed is the great height of many trees dating from more than 200 years ago, as well as its lushness, that bring a lot of freshness to the environment, being very appreciated by visitors who come to the park, the vegetation is very varied, with beautiful flowers that stand out among the greenery of the place.
