Happy Saturday! Welcome to my blog.
The color for the colors of life contest this week is red, so i'm going to color your world with red. Hehehe.
But before I start, permit me to ask "what the color red means to you."
To me, red means life. When blood is lacking in one's body, the person has a slim chance of survival if nothing is done about it.
Away from that, red color always shines through wherever it's found. A vibrant and dynamic color that can evoke strong emotions and reactions, is red color.
Red can mean different things to different people. It can represent passion and energy, love and romance, danger, good luck and prosperity, life etc.
In the agricultural world, some fruits and vegetables like strawberries, bush cherry, pawpaw, watermelon, tomatoes, pepper, etc. crops can only be said to be ripe when they turn red. The color change of these crops indicate sweetness, flavor and readiness for consumption.
I captured this image at one of the popular markets in my city, Aba called Ahịa Ọhụrụ (New Market). I often pass by these women each day I visit the market.

As an attention-grabbing and bold color, red is often used for emphasis or to draw attention.
No wonder Christie de Burgh couldn't resist the charm and aura of the "Lady In Red". Lol.
In the culinary world, red color plays a significant role in the visual appeal and taste of various dishes.
Who would resist a taste of this ice cream. Not me either.. "A cup of ice cream a day takes the heat away" 🤣🤣
Eat or pass? 😂
Hmmm, Strawberries. Crunchy freezed strawberries in parfait taste heavenly. 😋
Although red isn't my favorite color, I often admire outfits, crafts or artworks that incorporate shades of red, as they can add a striking touch to an overall look.

Give it up for the Reds! ✌️
