We are still down nurses at work so the homestead projects are not getting done at lightning speed, but we are plodding away and making steady progress! The video is a combination of photos taken by me and fishy, the video are fishy's work as is the editing and such. Mostly, I did the grunt work so she said I got to make the post. I am smart enough not to argue with my wife... 😁

The fences are holding pretty well down below although the real test for the season begins in a few weeks. That is when the rancher with the bull will dump several hundred cattle onto the Mesa and then ignore phone calls and generally shirk responsibility. Good times... Oh well, last year it saved us having to get our girls inseminated!

The septic has been approved and a contractor is going to put it in for us. It is easier for me to go work for RN wages and pay someone else than to dig fast enough to justify digging it myself. It may be the end of summer, but we will have a little toilet of our very own soon, if that is not romantic I don't know what is! When the man came to do the test holes, he was kind enough to dig the trench from the wellhouse to the house, so I can get all those plumbing and electrical lines in and inspected pretty soon too.

All in all, we are well and happy and just hoping against hope that the world is making a change for the better. It is an incredible time to be alive, and dangerous in many ways. I hope all our friends are safe and well!!
