Sea cual sea la perspectiva emigrante o inmigrante les considero a las estrellas fugases humanas y al amor foráneo. Con su maleta medio llena o medio vacía, con una misión especial cada cual, que jamás pensé vivir tan cerca.
De esa idea les hablo con mi familia, sobre todo. Hoy mi hija está en Chile y formó su familia allá, siendo inmigrante ya actualmente con su nacionalidad chilena. La familia de mi otra hija es extranjera con más de 50 años en Venezuela, quiere decir que mis nietos portan mis genes, pero también son extranjeros por sus otros abuelos de Colombia y España.
Casi nadie es tan romántico para analizar estás cosas, pero, como es de adaptable el corazón humano, como somos capaces de hacer nuevos rumbos con todo ahínco, con miedos y temores, inseguridades, incertidumbre ante lo nuevo, buscando respuestas, permaneciendo en otras naciones, siendo siempre fiel a la vez a sus raíces.
No es sencillo estar en el punto medio de todo, creo que este equilibrio y sentimiento motivó a este artista o hacer esta escultura, en el Club Social Hispano, Plaza del Inmigrante, si bien es un privilegio viajar, y moverse es súper sabroso, yo amo viajar, pero en todos los casos la situación no es favorable, invade ese sentimiento de volver a dónde perteneces una y otra vez, que entre sufrimiento, añoranzas, recuerdos, estoy segura que el alma que viaja cuando la distancia limita o se imposibilita, traga amargo.
Este homenaje inaugurado del 30 de junio de 1988 a todos los hombres y mujeres que con su presencia y esfuerzo han contribuido al fortalecimiento y grandeza de este país, escultura de Adolfo Estopinan, se condensa a la apariencia física de quien toma nuevos rumbos.
Lo digo por muchos escenarios en el que quisiera abrazar a los míos y algo lo impide, vivo ese sentimiento inmigrante o emigrante sin serlo. ¡Qué fuerte!
Demos la mano, sea cual sea el caso, así nos hayan violentado la confianza, o abusado de algún privilegio, seamos cercanos con todos, capaces de recibir, porque no sabemos que corazones inquietos estamos motivando o hiriendo.
