Well, getting to introduce yourself is one of the things we get to do more frequently, but most times we are never satisfied with our answers as we get to ask ourselves after the question if we actually did answer it right.
At a very tender age, I had already started asking myself who I really was so it could help guide me through making certain decisions. So, I’ll start from the very beginning.
My name is Evanson Evanson, you could be wondering “why two of the same name?” well, I asked the same question too. It is actually a family name, my parent decided to name me after my granddad so I had my name Evanson and my grand dad’s name Evanson and that brought about Evanson Evanson.
What does it actually mean and why did I choose to call myself Evans instead of Evanson?
Evans is actually from the Hebrew origin and it means God has been Gracious, nice name you might say.
I had to call myself Evans because I had no idea how my parent got the name Evanson and what it meant. Although, as I grew older, I started to think and I strongly believe that it means the son of Evans and I bet you’ll agree with me.
Growing up wasn’t an easy thing as I thought I would be, I had to make some strong decisions at a very tender age and the first was wanting to join the army when I was about 6 years old, you must be laughing right now as it seems to be very ambitious for a child of that age. Well, I talked to dad about it and he allowed me go to the military school when I was 8.
I was supposed to stay in the school for 6years but I only spent 2 years and refused going back into the school because I thought it was too difficult to continue. Came back home, finished my secondary education and then decided to leave home when I was 16 as a quest to be a man, do things for myself, take decisions on my own and all of that but trust me that was not an easy one, although it was worth it.
Moved through different cities, tired different jobs learnt new skills, made new friends, lost a whole lot of friends too, lost investments as this only made me stronger.
It is usually said that “Experience is the Best Teacher” but I don’t think I’ve ever agreed with that statement because I’ve always believed I should be able to learn from other people’s life experiences, we might not all live to experience these things as we might not survive most of them.
So, what do I do?
I’m a Cinematographer, a Web Developer, A Graphic Designer and you can keep counting as I’ve never stopped learning and always open to new experiences, but to sum them all up and professionally, I’m a Media Consultant and branding expert.
