Heute gibt's den dritten Teil über unseren Ausflug nach Mecklenburg. Dieses Bild ist ohne "Hilfe" der Katzen entstanden. Sie posierten zwar als Model auf dem Boot im Vordergrund, als ich allerdings den Auslöser der Kamera betätigte, verschwanden sie plötzlich.
Today is the third part about our trip to Mecklenburg. This picture was taken without the "help" of the cats. They posed as models on the boat in the foreground, but when I pressed the shutter release on the camera, they suddenly disappeared.
Zuerst suchte ich bei Tageslicht nach einem spannenden Motiv für den Vordergrund und schaute dann, an welcher Stelle die Milchstraße im Bild sein würde.
First I looked for an exciting motif for the foreground in daylight and then checked where the Milky Way would be in the picture.
Während der Dämmerung nahm ich das Bild für den Vordergrund auf. Weil es sehr windig war, musste ich eine kurze Belichtungszeit wählen. Die Äste der Bäume und die Gräser wären sonst nicht scharf abgebildet worden. Eigentlich wollte ich die ausgehölte Weide noch etwas beleuchten, wegen der kurzen Belichtungszeit von ½ Sekunde war dies allerdings nicht möglich.
I took the picture for the foreground at dusk. Because it was very windy, I had to choose a short exposure time. Otherwise the branches of the trees and the grasses would not have been in focus. I actually wanted to add some light to the hollowed-out willow, but this was not possible due to the short exposure time of ½ second.t
Ich platzierte dann das Stativ hinter den beiden Bäumen und richtete es genau in die Richtung aus, in der es in der ersten Position stand. Ich wartete bis es dunkel war. Leider zogen in der Zwischenzeit Wolken auf. Ich nahm dann 5 mal 16 Bilder des Himmels auf. Am Computer suchte ich dann die 16 Bilder mit den wenigsten Wolken raus und stackte sie in Sequator. Das Ergebnis sah dann so aus:
I then placed the tripod behind the two trees and aligned it exactly in the direction in which it was in the first position. I waited until it was dark. Unfortunately, clouds were gathering in the meantime. I then took 5 times 16 pictures of the sky. On the computer I then selected the 16 images with the fewest clouds and stacked them in Sequator. The result looked like this:
Im nächsten Schritt bearbeitete ich das gestackte Bild in Darktable. Ich passte den zuerst den Weißabgleich an. Durch das Astrofilter in der Kamera hatte das Bild einen deutlichen Rotstich. Ich erhöhte den Kontrast und die Sättigung, entrauschte und schärfte das Bild und korrigierte Verzeichnung und Vignette des Objektivs.
In the next step, I edited the stacked image in Darktable. I first adjusted the white balance. Due to the astro filter in the camera, the image had a clear red cast. I increased the contrast and saturation, denoised and sharpened the image and corrected the distortion and vignette of the lens.
Ich öffnet dann die beiden Bilder als Ebenen in Gimp. Über eine Ebenenmaske stellte ich den Vordergund frei. Das war wegen der feinen Struktur in den Ästen der Weide und den Gräsern ziemlich schwierig. Ich habe ungefähr eine Stunde gebraucht, bis das halbwegs passte. Ich richtete dann die beiden Ebenen aus und vereinte sie zu dem Bild, welches ihr ganz oben sehen könnt.
Auch wenn ich mich zuerst über die Wolken geärgert habe, gefällt mir das Ergebnis gut. Gerade durch die verschiedenen Farben im Himmel wirkt der Himmel spannender, als wenn dort nur Sterne zu sehen wären. Was sagt ihr dazu?
I then opened the two images as layers in Gimp. I used a layer mask to free up the foreground. This was quite difficult because of the fine structure in the branches of the willow and the grasses. It took me about an hour to get it halfway right. I then aligned the two layers and combined them to create the image you can see at the top.
Even though I was annoyed by the clouds at first, I like the result. The different colours in the sky make it look more exciting than if there were only stars to be seen. What do you think?
