As often heard, to everyone, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Each of us has our own standards when it comes to beauty. You might not see what others had seen like you didn't see what they see in you. Haha, I am confusing you?
I just stumbled and was delighted to see the LOH topic for this week as asked by
@nainaztengra ,There were two questions but this was what caught my attention.
The Beautiful Women that you are — Show your pictures where you think you have been at your best. This is not only about clothing but also about what you are doing in your life. You have been engaged in some activity and you may have felt the best in that point of time. Share 3 pictures and if it is a group picture, please do highlight, which one is you.
I paused for a while and try to think when was the time I felt confident and I am at my best. These days, I prefer taking photos of surroundings rather than my own picture. So, I had few photos of me and left me with no choice but to scroll my Facebook account. Hehe, once years ago, I used to upload a lot of photos. So I know, I would definitely find one.
And.... I was right! Saw this photo of me a decade ago, sometime in 2012.
I after our graduation ceremony and with me are my classmates and close friends back then. I feel great here as aren't we all? I mean who doesn't feel beautiful and at her best on graduation day? After years of studying, beating the deadlines of projects, the thesis that caused some friendship to be over, lol.
Not only that, but I was a working student back then and this day marked that all my efforts, bodyache from working so hard, and sleepless nights paid off. This was the start of no more starving moments.
Sometime in October 2021, on my first day at work after being absent for a month. No, that was unintentional, it is just that I was infected by the Delta variant in the peak of the pandemic. During this time, I couldn't help but to appreciate my work and the company I am working with. Some of you might read my previous blogs and know that I am alone here in the city aside from my officemates. My family was in the province and the husband was working outside the country. Both are miles away. Thus, our Bosses take care of me all throughout the journey from the medicines, foods and even emotional support. I myself even congratulate my inner me for being strong and kick back to health!
The last but not the least and for me this is what I can say I am at my BEST. Best among the rest
If you noticed, yes I do smile in some photos but not widely. That was because of my nose! Ahhh, I have a typical Asian nose as we call it in our language pango. When I smile, like a close up smile, that makes me conscious as I feel it stretch more and look more pango. My nose was my biggest insecurities back then so no smiling!
How insecure am I? The thought of undergoing a nose lift, a surgery came into my mind, it was in my goal.
However, I came to realize one day that regardless of my nose, it doesn't make me less human. So what if I didn't have an aristocratic nose like my great friend here on Hive? Ahh my husband still fell in love with me 😆.
Honestly, I don't know how it happened, I just woke up one day, feeling content with my Asian nose. The above photo speaks how.
