Visiting Relatives

This morning, I visited my relative, the son of my grandmother's sister, whom I call uncle. In Indonesia, we maintain close ties with extended family, even those with distant familial connections.

My uncle now has a big family with children and grandchildren. While I only know my uncle personally, his family has grown, and I'm happy to see how they’ve expanded over time.

We savored traditional food, shared stories, and filled the air with laughter. It was a time of togetherness, creating beautiful memories as we bonded over delicious meals and cherished moments with family.

On my way to my uncle's house, I saw a broken bridge, damaged by last month's flood. The massive flood near his house destroyed many facilities, leaving behind a trail of devastation. It was heartbreaking to witness the destruction caused by nature's fury.

My uncle's house is about 20 minutes away by motorcycle. I went with my son, and the streets were empty because of the holiday. It was a peaceful ride through the quiet, deserted roads.

I arrived at my uncle’s house at 10 AM and left at 12 noon. The sky was clear, with a gentle breeze, making it pleasantly cool. My son and I had a wonderful time, enjoying the trip, the calm atmosphere, and the warmth of family togetherness.

Being together with family is always fun. It strengthens our bonds, creating lasting memories and deep connections. These moments of togetherness are precious, fostering love, support, and closeness that endure over time.
