After being more than ten years in Colombia, a country that I am very grateful for the warmth they gave me, facing situations that made me miss my family and my city were many conflicting thoughts that made me question whether to continue or return. Even if it meant starting from scratch again, many times I wondered if it was worth such a radical decision. I arrived back to Venezuela 5 months ago, I had to get rid of all my real estate and with only one suitcase in hand, here I am hoping that it was worth the decision.
Luego de estar más de diez años en Colombia país al que agradezco mucho la calidez que me brindaron, afrontar situaciones que me hacían extrañar la familia y mi ciudad eran muchos pensamientos encontrados que me hacía cuestionarme si continuar o regresar. Aunque eso implicara empezar desde cero de nuevo, en muchas ocasiones me pregunté si valía la pena esa decisión tan radical. Y si acá estoy de vuelta la decisión está tomada, llegué de nuevo a Venezuela hace 5 meses tuve que despojarme de todos mis inmobiliario y solo con una maleta en mano aquí estoy deseando que haya valido la pena tal decisión.
Being in a country alone, far from your family and your city, fighting every day is very exhausting and especially dealing with loneliness constantly, being in jobs that we did not plan to have. These were my main reasons to make the decision to return to my country and here I am.
Estar en un país solo, lejos de tus familiares y tu ciudad luchando cada día es muy desgastante y sobre todo lidiar con la soledad constantemente, estando en empleos que no planeamos tener. Estas fueron como mis razones de peso para tomar la decisión de regresar a mi país y acá estoy.
I want you to know my city is called Merida. You will love it, I am surrounded by mountains and beautiful landscapes, a cold climate which makes you always want a cup of hot chocolate. Most of my neighbors have spectacular animals the view is beautiful around me only forest, calm and tranquility. Beautiful landscapes that I miss a lot, I have the city 15 minutes away, it is incredible where I live.
Quiero que conozcan mi ciudad se llama Mérida. Les encantará estoy rodeada de montañas y bellos paisajes, un clima frío el cual hace desear siempre una taza de chocolate caliente. La mayoría de mis vecinos tienen animales espectaculares la vista es hermosa a mi alrededor solo bosque, calma y tranquilidad. Paisajes hermosos que extrañe mucho, tengo la ciudad a 15 minutos es increíble el lugar donde vivo.
I started again to practice my professional career as a nurse, I have met many friends who have supported me and helped me a lot to return to the labor field. I love my profession, I love what I do in my country, the work environment in the health sector is complicated, but I still get up every morning with good energy and good vibes hoping that each one is better than the previous one.
Empecé de nuevo a ejercer mi carrera profesional como enfermera, he conocido muchas amistades los cuales me han apoyado y ayudado mucho a regresar en el campo laboral. Amo mi profesión amo lo que hago en mi país el ambiente laboral del sector salud es complicado, pero aún así me levanto todas las mañanas con buena energía y buena vibra esperando que cada sea mejor que el anterior.
Currently I work in the hospital and outpatient clinic in the city, also in a private clinic, starting over has been complicated, but I feel good and calm I go one step at a time trusting in God and hoping for the best even though the economy of my country is not the best at the moment, but with a good attitude you can overcome even the most difficult obstacles.
Actualmente trabajo en el hospital y el ambulatorio de la ciudad, también en un centro clínico privado, empezar de nuevo ha sido algo complicado, pero me siento bien y tranquila voy un paso a la vez confiando en Dios y esperando lo mejor a pesar de que la economía de mi país no sea la mejor actualmente, pero con buena actitud se puede superar hasta los obstáculos más difíciles.
All the situations I have faced this past year have taught me that material things, moments and people are fleeting. What is more valuable is peace, tranquility of mind and to be able to work every day in what we like and what we love to do. At this stage of my life I am focused on that thought.
Todas las situaciones que he afrontado este ultimo año me han enseñado, que las cosas materiales, los momentos y las personas son fugaces. Lo que tiene más valor es la paz, tranquilidad mental y lograr cada día trabajar en lo que nos guste y lo que amemos hacer. En esta etapa de mi vida estoy centrada en ese pensamiento.
The family reunion makes us feel safe, being in places where you grew up and achieved many goals makes you feel valuable and that's the way I wanted to feel, community wanted to share with you this small advance in my life and listen to your advice.
El reencuentro familiar nos hace sentir seguros, estar en lugares donde creciste y lograste muchas metas te hace sentir valioso y así de esa manera quería sentirme, comunidad quería compartirles este pequeño avance en mi vida y escuchar sus consejos.
