Happy new year community ... how are you? How did these days go by ...
We still have the first week of January to continue enjoying as a family.
I bring you a recipe for a merey "punch", it is very different from the traditional Christmas punch that is made in Venezuela.

I wanted a vegan option and that I could do a part without alcohol. So improvise it, since the ones I found on the internet had strange ingredients or costs.
The detail of is the texture, it is a little liquid but you have two options, you cool it enough or you use a thickener such as cornstarch, xanthan gum, peptine.
For the option with liquor, I tell them to use the extract that I prepared at the beginning of the month. Only a little,. Because it's for a cake.
Let's go with the recipe. 🤭
Ingredients
500mL Merey milk
50mL Liquor
5g Cinnamon
3g Nutmeg
50g Corn starch
150mL Water
Honey or sugar
Preparation
In a saucepan, add the water and the cornstarch. Heat until thick enough.

Then in the blender add the milk of merey and add the cinnamon and nutmeg. Mix well and then add the honey

When you have the mixture ready, add the liquor, this is to your liking. Although my extract is fuchsia it did not add any color to the punch. Remix

Now add the previous mixture slowly to the cornstarch and stir to make a homogeneous mixture.
Now pack in a glass jar and reserve in the fridge until serving.

It is important that if you add the mixture with liquor in the hot cornstarch, a little alcohol will evaporate and if you wish, you can replace it.
The option without liquor is identical only you do not add the liquor.

Now to enjoy this recipe, really merey's milk is a spectacular experience ❤️
