I'm seeing this movie "With This Ring" and these ladies are having relationship issues and quite bothered about not being at the time. I don't know if this is quite popular overseas, but in Nigeria it is a helluva big deal,for the ladies though, for guys we could do this at any time.
In Nigeria once a girl clocks 23 years, there's pressure from families and friends alike for her to start bringing home suitors. Judging with the recent trends in Nigeria, girls wouldn't want to get married except they find a guy who isn't 100% comfortable, a six figures job, a nice 3 bedroom apartment, a car, and every other goodly thing you can imagine, and most times these luxuries are not readily available. So what can a girl do?? She waits and she gets older, and then the pressure to get married becomes too much, the girl gets frustrated, she stops setting a priority to material things, she may even subject herself to prayer houses.
I experienced firsthand today what the frustration of not getting married early can cause. I visited my friend and the whole scene was filled with several voices of people shouting on top of their voices without even being heard, I stepped in to get the information on what was happening and soon discovered that a lady who's yet to get married at age 30years was subjected to comments of ridicule by her younger sister and this led to outbursts of rage by the lady, from what i heard the comments were sarcastic comments that should have acted as a joke, but alas! it was a joke gone wrong.
So my question is,
Should a girl get frustrated by unavailability of suitors?
When is the right time for a girl to get married?
What are the necessities of a girl who wants to get married?
