It's Vibes Week 40, and for this week - I composed a song titled Mother's Love; and I dedicate this song to my grandmom. She passed away few months ago, and it's been emotional and difficult to handle her loss.
I lost my biological mom in 2020, and losing my grandmom 2025; has left me without any form of motherly love. It's strange how I never knew the real value of a mother's love, until I lost it. The way a mother or a grandmother loves you is very different and unique - it's so unconditional, and nurturing. I miss that, and apparently; I cannot replicate that feeling ever again in this my lifetime.
What makes it even more difficult for men from where I come from is that - we're not allowed to show emotions. The society expects us to be stone cold, and never cry or show any form of emotion - but we're humans. Even till this moment, I've not been able to break even 1 teardrop. However, the emotion was stuck inside, without any outlet.
And that's why I composed this song - to express the emotions, and find a creative outlet for it.
And for those who still have their mothers and grandmothers - all I can say is, value them - cherish the rare kind of love only a mother can give to you.
