Different views have been expressed on humanity. It is a discussion to bring to the table almost every single day as it brings along concerns of life. From my own view, humanity comes with the simplest feeling we can possibly have. It is the feeling of love, compassion and kindness to other people or to animals. This, I have found to be the most natural feeling that comes with being human.
In a way, humanity could mean the totality of the human race. We all have our histories of evolution and diversity. All the same, humanity is a feeling of love for others as we live out our purpose in the most possible peaceful way. It is what makes a man, go out of his way to feed a stranger on the street and house him, till he's able to stand on his feet again. Only humanity could stop a man from pursuing an ambition which is injurious or poses danger to those around him and the environment in which he lives.
Sadly, most people have been drawn apart by religion, beliefs, race, nationality and culture. We only seem to care only if it's about us and all ours. Perhaps, because of the disappointments we might have experienced in some phases of life. As a result, we tend to allow past bitter experiences inform us in making uncaring and cruel decisions. This affects the world at large today, negatively.
Do you imagine a world where everyone is committed to serving humanity? It would be a world of relevance and love. We would do right, not because we expect a pay back, but because it's in our nature as the right thing to do. Humanity, as simple as it may sound, is key to living purposeful and fulfilled lives.
