I have observed that sincere and compassionate people try in vain to convince their well-wishers that they should also treat mean and selfish people the same way they are treating them. They do not know how Allah, the Most Gracious, rewards a sincere servant with His grace. Do not ask for a receipt for good deeds from those who respond to your good deeds with forgetfulness.Good deeds are the result of Allah, so the reward is from Allah.May Allah grant us the success to do good deeds without any selflessness.Amen, then, Amen, O Most Gracious, O Most Merciful, O Lord of the Worlds.
