Inleo's Path to Open-Sourcing

Hey, everyone! From Project Blank to Inleo, our platform is evolving rapidly, delivering innovative features and a refined UI through dedicated in-house development. As part of our DHF proposal, we are open-sourcing key features, such as our onboarding protocols.
In this clip:
  • Building and delivering innovative features
  • Fast improvements with community feedback
  • Open-sourcing a final product
Inleo is constantly implementing new features and improvements to its UI. We previously had an open alpha UI for testing, but it’s now restricted to the team. This is where new features are tested and fixes are applied before updates are rolled out to production. Once in production, the community becomes the primary source of feedback, helping to refine the final product.
The rapid development of Inleo has introduced innovations like the container approach to microblogging, threadcasts, creator subscriptions, and more. We built all of this in-house and closed-source, as that approach worked best during the experimentation process. Now that Inleo’s vision has solidified, open-sourcing makes sense.
However, open-sourcing a product that’s only 80% complete isn’t our goal. We aim to deliver a fully usable product, complete with APIs that are ready for plug-and-play integration. Open-sourcing can accelerate improvements and benefit the growth of the Hive ecosystem.
