It's time for the ZAPFIC50 Friday challenge. This challenge by @felt-buzz presented the opportunity to explore the prompt this week "role".
Whenever I think of a position one plays, what comes to mind is a team effort. If one person plays one position and has duties to fulfill, then someone else must take up the mantle and perform another task. Each person has a part. Too many roles attempted can lead to frustration and loss of motivation. This is true in real life where complications can arise when a person feels worn out. Less productivity results. I share a flash fiction story along those lines.
My story is below:
Harriet plopped down into the recliner, then leaned back, weary.
But her day just began after ending the restaurant's night shift.
Kids stirred, ready for breakfast. Next, prepare lunch and head to school.
Returning home, the Check Engine light flashed.
She detoured toward the repair shop.
Waiting, she fell asleep.

Es hora del desafío del viernes de ZAPFIC50. Este desafío de @felt-buzz nos ha brindado la oportunidad de explorar el tema de esta semana: «papel».
Siempre que pienso en el papel que desempeña una persona, lo que me viene a la mente es el trabajo en equipo. Si una persona desempeña un papel y tiene obligaciones que cumplir, entonces otra persona debe asumir el mando y realizar otra tarea. Cada persona tiene su parte. Intentar desempeñar demasiados papeles puede provocar frustración y pérdida de motivación. Esto es cierto en la vida real, donde pueden surgir complicaciones cuando una persona se siente agotada. El resultado es una menor productividad. Comparto una historia de ficción breve en esa línea.
A continuación mi historia.
Demasiadas cosas entre manos
Harriet se dejó caer en el sillón reclinable y se recostó, agotada.
Pero su día acababa de empezar tras terminar el turno de noche en el restaurante.
Los niños se despertaron, listos para desayunar. A continuación, preparar el almuerzo y llevarlos al colegio.
Al volver a casa, la luz del motor parpadeaba.
Se desvió hacia el taller.
